Facing up to Climate Change - with Martin Ford
Cllr Martin Ford formed part of the panel for the Aberdeen session of the Royal Society of Edinburgh Climate Change Inquiry.
The Royal Society of Edinburgh held a public debate on 3rd March in Aberdeen as part of an inquiry on how we can respond to climate change in Scotland.
The event featured a presentation by Professor David Sugden
FRSA, Chair of the Royal Society of Edinburgh Inquiry, Facing up to
Climate Change, followed by a public discussion and debate.
The Inquiry is welcoming the views of the public to find out about
local climate change challenges and opportunities.
The audience used electronic voting to give input on various questions. Prof Sugden was surprised that, most attendees voted that Climate Change was an opportunity for Aberdeen - and also that issues of public transport were locally significant with pricing in the City and frequency, journey times and cost issues in the Shire.
